Q:I know someone who will give us permission to use their land. Do we have a form for this?

A: Yes we do. The form is here (PDF). However, please discuss this with the executive board before downloading and/or asking anyone for permission. Thanks!

Q: Do I have to own a Willys or Jeep to join NEWJO?

A: No, you do not need to own a willys or jeep vehicle to join our club. All we ask is that you have an appreciation for them! Our restoration or tech sessions are open to any and all members no matter what they drive. Our trail rides are open to any and all members based on trail host requirements. Q: When was NEWJO formed?

A: NEWJO was formed in 1998 from a group of folks on the WIllys Tech mailing list and has grown to what you see here since. For more info, please check out our history pages! (still under construction).

Q: Do members of NEWJO get merchandise discounts anywhere?

A: Yes. Dues paying members get discounts at various different merchants as well as NEWJO clothing, stickers, etc. (we need to work on getting the specifics of this done...)

Q: Are members allowed to take a guest on NEWJO events?

A: Yes. Each member of newjo is allowed to bring a guest to any event. What we do ask is that if the guest should decide to attend another event, that they pay the very reasonable membership fee. Certain specific exceptions may be made pending board approval.

Q: Are children allowed on NEWJO events?

A: Most definitely! NEWJO prides itself on being a very family friendly club. Unless there is some safety concerns by the host, i.e. tech sessions with lifts, welding, etc. then as a rule, bring the kids!

Q: Does NEWJO limit the total number of it’s members?

A: No. It is NEWJO's philosophy to never limit our membership. Instead we prefer to use the approach taken by Mile High Jeepers of Colorado and other clubs like them to create regional sub clubs if we ever get too large or wide spread to manage things from a single entity.

Q: What are the minimum vehicle requirements to join NEWJO?

A: There are no vehicle requirements persay. For trail rides, the requirements are set and are at the discretion of the trail ride host. That being said, we recommend the following for trail rides... (whatever it is we decide to recommend)

Q: Are there any restrictions on the vehicles that can join the club?

A: No. While our trail rides and event requirements are set by the host, in general, there are no restrictions on vehicles.
